PREMIER Helps Bring Airshow to City

On a hot summer weekend in July, the Sioux Falls Airshow, Power on the Prairie 2016 drew more than 150,000 people to explore the wonders of the ground and sky. As the “ACE” sponsor for the event, First PREMIER Bank/PREMIER Bankcard helped to make it a free event to the entire hometown community to get up close and personal with the aircraft and watch pilots perform stunts directly overhead.

PREMIER CEO’s Passion for Running Leads to Sponsorship of Community Track Events

When Rich Greeno, renowned local high school boys cross country coach, approached PREMIER in 1994 about sponsoring and supporting community track meets for kids and adults of all ages, we had to get in on the action. Coach Greeno had a reputation for being one of the best coaches in South Dakota with national recognition. He even coached journalist Tom Brokaw at Yankton High School in South Dakota. Coach Greeno started these summer track meets in the early ‘70s. PREMIER Bankcard CEO, Miles Beacom, has been a long-time runner and participated when he was in junior high school.

Employees Take a Break to Lend a Hand

Stuffing envelopes and making packets may not seem like a grand gesture. However, this type of work is making a difference for local charities. PREMIER employees have a spirit of service. Often, organizations will reach out to PREMIER to inquire if staff can help with office-friendly work during their lunch hour or over breaks. In 2015, employees contributed more than 390 hours to this cause—also known as PREMIER Volunteer Fairs.
