On a hot summer weekend in July, the Sioux Falls Airshow, Power on the Prairie 2016 drew more than 150,000 people to explore the wonders of the ground and sky. When Rich Greeno, renowned local high school boys cross country coach, approached PREMIER in 1994 about sponsoring and supporting community track meets for kids and adults of all ages, we had to get in on the action. Coach Greeno had a reputation for being one of the best coaches in South Dakota with national recognition. He even coached journalist Tom Brokaw at Yankton High School in South Dakota. In December, PREMIER Bankcard Collections and Credit departments joined together to gather care packages for a regional troop. PREMIER employees collected instant coffee, personal hygiene items, prepaid phone cards, stationery, magazines, DVDs, canned food, jerky, and more. Then items were placed into individual boxes for a soldier to receive. This concept stemmed from Operation Shoebox—a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes care packages to deployed soldiers. It was established as a way to boost morale and meet needs beyond the basic shelter and food the U.S. Military provides, as many soldiers don’t receive care packages.Read More
PREMIER Bankcard and First PREMIER Bank have always endeavored to make an impact on the communities our employees call home. Even though we serve customers nationwide, our local communities center around four South Dakota cities: Sioux Falls, Watertown, Huron, and Dakota Dunes.
For the past three years, our employees have contributed to a large-scale food drive to help Feeding South Dakota (an affiliate of Feeding America) and other local area food banks. Through this organization, approximately 21,000 South Dakota individuals and families receive packaged foods and goods every week, and over 5,000 kids are fed every weekend. They provide a basic need for children and adults who might otherwise go hungry.Read More

Minnesota Vikings’ linebacker, Chad Greenway, unveiled his Chad’s Locker at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard are pleased to sponsor Chad’s Locker, a program of Chad’s Lead the Way Foundation. Chad’s Locker is filled with kid-friendly laptop computers, video gaming systems, and iPads that provide patients and their families access to technology as an outlet for entertainment and communication during their hospital stays. Patients and their families were in the lobby to meet Chad Greenway and his family and get their Vikings gear signed by the South Dakota native. Dave Rozenboom said, “PREMIER is thrilled to partner with Chad and his Lead the Way Foundation to bring “Chad’s Locker” to Sanford Children’s.
