Welcome from the CEO

October 25, 2012

The importance of credit is significant today; credit scores can be checked when individuals apply for a loan, job, apartment, or even a cell phone contract. Less than perfect credit can present a real challenge in today’s world. The fact is, millions of Americans have challenges with their credit. This might be the result of past financial problems such as job loss, medical bills, divorce, or a number of other situations.

For more than 25 years, we have been providing the possibility for these individuals to obtain a second chance at having a credit card. We do this by offering credit cards to those consumers who might otherwise be denied by other credit card issuers.

Our credit cards are not perfect for everyone. Our approach is much like high-risk auto insurance. If you have a bad driving record, due to speeding tickets or accidents, you may pay more for insurance. Once your driving record has improved, your premiums will come down. The same applies to our credit card. For those who have “accidents” with their credit, there are higher fees associated with the credit card. But as your credit history improves, you may start to qualify for more traditional types of credit with better rates and less fees.

We have always wanted applicants to fully understand our product before applying for an account. The terms and conditions of the account are always disclosed with our applications. Applicants who are approved and change their mind once an account is opened can contact us and request their account be closed.

Under the Testimonials section, you will see comments from actual customers who have been given a second chance, and how their First PREMIER Bank credit card has made an impact in their lives.

Check back with PREMIER Perspectives often to continue learning more about credit and how we can make a positive change in the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.
