This Thanksgiving, we give thanks for all the lives we touch. We interact with many people on a daily basis, and this is our gift and opportunity to share. Customers and their families, volunteers and charity recipients, employees and management, our parent organization, other business partners—we all have a chance to influence each other every day.
Let’s celebrate this holiday by looking at three views of gratitude:
First View: Customer Thankfulness
Credit isn’t something most people think about or agonize over, until you don’t have it. The fact is, millions of Americans have challenges with their credit. For more than 25 years, PREMIER Bankcard, together with our sister organization, First PREMIER Bank, have been providing the possibility for individuals to obtain a second chance at having a credit card. Here are some thankful stories from a few of our customers:
“They gave me a chance when no one else cared to. So for that I’m thankful. It’s hard to get credit when your past follows you. Thank you First PREMIER for that chance. I always pay on time and my rewards will come.”
“When I was widowed I didn’t think I could get a credit card but lo and behold along came First PREMIER. I am thankful since everywhere you go you need one. I am hoping to get credit increases as they can see I am a loyal payer, never missing a payment. Thank you First PREMIER.”
“Divorce and bankruptcy is one of the most humbling experiences you can have. Financially, it can destroy your future hopes of attaining some of your dreams such as buying your first home, buying a car, or even being able to be approved for a credit card. Just when it seemed everyone had given up on my situation, PREMIER gave me new life by believing in me, giving me an opportunity to rebuild my credit history, giving me an opportunity to be a part of society again. For that, I will always be thankful for PREMIER.”
Second View: Employee Thankfulness
Employees at PREMIER aren’t co-workers, they are family. Taking care of our own is the first step in being a thankful organization. Helping employees feel included and cared for is one of the greatest gifts we can give. Read a thankful story from a PREMIER employee:
“Each year, I make a point of going in for my yearly mammogram. Who isn’t grateful for the Edith Sanford Breast Center? I was diagnosed at a very early point where they felt the precancerous lymph nodes needed to be removed and I was scheduled to have a partial mastectomy in October 2015. The day before my surgery, I was having a one-on-one with my manager only to return to my desk where sacks of groceries were sitting. All put together by my managers and team members. It was a very emotional day for me and I am so thankful to have them on my team. I received the results a week later only to find that I would need a full mastectomy. Through all my health challenges I am so thankful for my co-workers who brought me meals and supported me in invaluable ways.
I am ever grateful for my personal family, my PREMIER family, my church, and friends.”
Third View: Organization Thankfulness
First PREMIER Bank/PREMIER Bankcard gives thousands of volunteer service hours to charities in our region. Local community support shows our company’s thankfulness not only for the cities our employees live in, but also for all the customers we serve. The Boys & Girls Club of Watertown’s Story
PREMIER is a constant presence at the Boys & Girls Club of Watertown. We are fortunate to have board member volunteers who help us with day-to-day operational decisions and make a lasting difference in our organization. We are thankful for the many event sponsorships we receive. From Camel Races, to Youth of the Year, to our Annual Halloween Party, PREMIER has always been there.
We are grateful for PREMIER’s willingness to help us develop new ideas and partnerships. We have recently gained new PREMIER partnerships in hosting a Football Extravaganza for our youth football program and attending Sioux Falls Canaries games with top attendance Club members. These are experiences our youth members will never forget—experiences all made possible by PREMIER.
PREMIER recently committed to ensuring that our organization can serve youth far into the future by supporting our capital campaign project. PREMIER stepped up to be a leader in the campaign, and we look forward to many new opportunities in the future.
We are so grateful for PREMIER. Because of your service, talents, wisdom, and contributions, youth in the Watertown community are receiving quality programs and experiences when they need it most. Thank you!
These three views of gratitude remind us at First PREMIER Bank/PREMIER Bankcard that thankfulness is all around us. We appreciate all the lives we touch as an organization. This Thanksgiving, we encourage you to celebrate all the points of view of gratitude in your lives, too.
